Bacci Residence

The program called for what is essentially a 2-bedroom home based on the concept of elegant country living. The result is a rambling house with large rooms connected by generous hallways lined with books or paintings. The house rests on the high point of the site in among some old oaks surrounded by a beautifully composed, comfortable landscape by Mae Arbegast. The local climate is generally warm with brilliant sunshine, so a porch extends all around the main part of the house.
